Free Pre-check
We first check whether the request may fall within our service scope or appears clearly difficult. This is a general first check only.
Gemslinks supports customers who already own personal belongings, used goods, samples or small-lot cargo in Japan and need to check whether the items can be prepared for international shipment.
This is a diagnosis-first export support service. We review item details, shipment purpose, destination country, carrier requirements and required information before supporting customer-led courier arrangement by EMS, DHL, FedEx, UPS or other suitable services.
This service is different from purchase assistance or proxy buying services. It is for goods already owned by the customer in Japan. Gemslinks does not purchase, receive, store, inspect or physically handle the goods under this service.
Overview
Personal belongings, used goods, donated items, relocation-related items and small-lot cargo often require careful checking before international shipment. Some items may be restricted by carrier rules, export regulations, import regulations or customs requirements.
Gemslinks helps customers organize the required information, understand the shipment feasibility and, if possible, proceed to customer-led courier arrangement support.
Service essence: Own & Export — prepare goods you already own for possible international shipment.
Diagnosis-first Service Model
For personal belongings and used goods, shipment may not always be possible. The item may be restricted, the description may be unclear, the destination country may require additional documents, or the carrier may refuse acceptance. This service is designed to help customers understand the initial feasibility before moving to shipment quotation or paid support work.
We first check whether the request may fall within our service scope or appears clearly difficult. This is a general first check only.
We request and organize item information, photos, quantity, condition, destination country and shipment purpose, then provide an initial view on whether shipment may be possible.
After receiving the screening result, the customer may decide whether to proceed, stop the process, request an optional specialist review, or move to shipment quotation.
If required, Gemslinks may coordinate preliminary comments from export-side and/or import-side customs brokers, local agents or specialists based on the Initial Feasibility Screening result. This option is quoted separately.
Paid Gemslinks service fees are generally non-refundable after payment, even if the screening result indicates that shipment is not possible, not recommended, or outside our support scope.
Customer Responsibility
The customer remains responsible for ownership of the goods, accuracy of item information, shipment purpose, export-related declarations, importer or recipient designation, packing of the goods, handover to the carrier or pickup provider, and destination-side charges such as customs duties and import taxes.
If pickup is required, Gemslinks may help arrange a third-party carrier or pickup service. Gemslinks itself does not collect, open, inspect, pack, store or physically handle the goods.
Suitable Customers
This service is suitable for individuals, small businesses and small companies that already own goods in Japan and need export preparation support.
Customers in Japan who wish to send personal belongings, used goods, gifts, donated items or relocation-related goods overseas.
Customers living outside Japan who already have goods in Japan and need help checking export feasibility and arranging shipment.
Small businesses that need support for samples, used equipment, returned goods, replacement items or small-lot cargo.
Companies that need practical support to organize item information, documents and courier shipping steps from Japan.

Why Choose Gemslinks
Personal belongings, used goods and small-lot cargo are not always simple to ship overseas. Gemslinks reviews the shipment from a logistics, carrier and customs perspective before the customer proceeds.
Gemslinks helps customers check item details, condition, destination country, shipment purpose, carrier requirements and possible restrictions before moving to shipment arrangement. This helps reduce the risk of starting a shipment that may later be refused, delayed or returned.
As an international freight forwarder, Gemslinks does not only look at shipping labels or courier rates. We help organize shipment information, declaration points, carrier acceptance conditions and practical handling requirements before the customer-led courier process begins.
Used goods, personal belongings, samples, returned items and replacement goods may require extra care because value, condition, ownership, materials, batteries, liquids or destination-side rules can affect shipment feasibility. Gemslinks helps identify key points to review before proceeding.
When packing, pickup or courier arrangement is needed, Gemslinks may support coordination with suitable third-party providers. This allows customers to proceed with clearer steps while remaining the owner, exporter and responsible party for the goods.
Gemslinks’ support does not guarantee carrier acceptance, export approval, import customs clearance, duty amount, delivery date or destination-side approval. The customer remains responsible for accurate item information, export-related declarations, packing, handover to the carrier, and destination-side duties, taxes and charges.
Important Boundaries
If a shipment requires packing, pickup or transportation in Japan, Gemslinks may support arrangement of a third-party provider. The actual packing, pickup and transport are performed by the third-party provider, not by Gemslinks.

To begin the review, please provide the following information as much as possible.
Additional information or documents may be requested depending on the item, shipment purpose, carrier requirements and destination country.

The basic Initial Feasibility Screening fee is JPY 3,300 tax included and includes the initial review of up to 3 item types. In this fee structure, “item” means an item type, product type, model or SKU, not the quantity of the same item.
If the shipment includes more than 3 item types, an additional item review fee of JPY 550 tax included per additional item type applies from the 4th item type onward. For example, 100 units of the same product are counted as 1 item type, while 5 different products are counted as 5 item types.
This is an optional specialist review and is quoted separately. It may be used when the customer needs preliminary comments on export-side and/or import-side requirements, HS code candidates, estimated duties or taxes, required documents, permits or other regulatory concerns.
Specialist comments are preliminary comments only and do not constitute a customs ruling, legal opinion, export approval, import approval, tax guarantee or carrier acceptance guarantee.
If the customer proceeds after the screening result and shipment quotation, the following fees may be included in the quotation depending on the shipment requirements.
Payment for each approved step is generally required in advance. Payment can be made by bank transfer or by credit card via a payment link. Bank transfer fees and payment processing fees are borne by the customer.
Before payment, customers will be asked to review the applicable service step, fee, scope of work, refund conditions and any estimated actual costs.

Even if the result indicates that shipment is not possible, not recommended, or outside our support scope, Gemslinks service fees for work that has already started or been performed are generally non-refundable.
Packing, pickup, delivery, international transportation, storage, return handling and compensation decisions performed by third-party packing providers, pickup providers, couriers, carriers or other external providers are subject to each provider's own rules, terms and compensation conditions. Gemslinks does not provide these third-party services directly.
Please review the detailed Service Terms and Conditions before approving any paid service step.
Prohibited and Restricted Items
Gemslinks does not support illegal goods, prohibited goods, restricted goods or items that cannot be accepted under applicable laws, carrier rules or payment provider policies.
Even if an item can be legally owned in Japan, it may not be suitable for international shipment.

Gemslinks supports export preparation and courier arrangement procedures from Japan, but does not guarantee import customs clearance, duty amount, delivery date or final import approval in the destination country.
Destination-side duties, taxes, inspection fees, storage fees, return charges and disposal costs are generally the responsibility of the customer or importer.
First Transaction Confirmation
Before Gemslinks starts shipment feasibility review, document or shipment information support, packing guidance, courier arrangement support or other approved support work for the first transaction, the customer must agree to the quotation and Gemslinks’ service terms.
If the required agreement is not completed, Gemslinks cannot start shipment feasibility review, document or shipment information support, packing guidance, courier arrangement support or other approved support work.
